Representatives of Andromeda held a business meeting with the CEO of the Japanese company IOS, Inc., Kentaro Imai. Following the переговори, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining.

The main focus of the discussions was the use of advanced Japanese demining technologies based on pneumatic systems to prepare mined areas for direct work by сапери, as well as the use of drones for remote detonation of explosive devices.

“This is a very interesting Japanese company that has been on the market for many years, and our company has also been operating in this field for over 10 years. We have valuable experience to exchange and the potential to jointly create fundamentally new solutions that will enhance Ukraine’s security,” said Mykola Zentsev.

It is worth noting that cooperation between Andromeda and Japanese partners began two years ago within the framework of ensuring the safety of Japanese citizens in Ukraine, in cooperation with the security company Racing Sun, which provides protection for U.S. military personnel at a base on Okinawa Island and for Japanese nuclear power plants. In 2025, Andromeda obtained five humanitarian demining certifications and participated in a specialized exhibition in Tokyo.

The Japanese company IOS, Inc. has been developing DMR series demining robots since 2017. In 2022, DMR Version 5 began operations on minefields in Cambodia, and in October 2024 it received official certification from the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC). In spring 2026, three new DMR units are planned to be deployed in Ukraine, where they will be operated by HALO Trust Ukraine. Another three DMR-7 units will be delivered to CMAC with the support of a grant from the Government of Japan.
