DEMI Mine Safety Platform Presented to the Cherkasy Regional Administration

On March 10, a presentation of the free DEMI platform — a mine safety and emergency assistance chatbot for schools and businesses in the region — took place at the Cherkasy Regional Administration.

The presentation was conducted by representatives of Andromeda Demining Systems LLC. Participants included representatives of the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work, the State Emergency Service, the Department of Education and Science, and the Department of Regional Development and Agriculture of the Cherkasy region.

Why Cherkasy Region

Although there are no active combat operations on the territory of the Cherkasy region, the area is not free from explosive hazards. Enemy missiles and drones regularly fly over the region, and their debris often falls on fields, private yards, and infrastructure facilities. This creates real risks for civilians — especially for children and people working on the land.

What DEMI Is

DEMI is a chatbot that operates in three modes: consultation on mine safety issues, structured training (a 20-minute express course or a one-hour in-depth course), and knowledge testing. The bot adapts its content according to the user’s age — from children aged 6 to adult industrial workers.

A key feature of DEMI is that, in addition to standard mine safety rules, the bot provides step-by-step first aid algorithms for mine-explosive injuries: how to stop massive bleeding, what to do in the case of chest or abdominal wounds, and how to respond to shock before emergency medical services arrive. These algorithms are based on Order No. 441 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

All platform content is developed in accordance with current legislation, including the Law of Ukraine “On Mine Action in Ukraine,” the national standard DSTU 8820:2023, and international mine action standards (IMAS).

“DEMI does not take work away from us — it gives meaning to what we have chosen to do. We cannot clear every field in the country at the same time. But we can ensure that safety information reaches every person — in every village, every school, and every enterprise. We do not sell safety — we share it.”

For Schools and Businesses

During the presentation, it was demonstrated how DEMI can be used in educational institutions: a teacher can display the chatbot on a projector while students complete training and tests on their own phones. For businesses, a separate module with production-specific content is available — allowing safety briefings directly from a smartphone without interrupting the work process.

Andromeda Demining Systems offers the Cherkasy region:

• Full free access to the DEMI platform for all educational institutions and businesses
• Training for teachers and occupational safety officers
• Methodological materials: guidelines for instructors and users
• Technical support and adaptation of content to regional specifics

Using the platform does not require registration, app installation, or payment. DEMI works on any device with internet access — 24/7.
