China’s General Staff is no longer concealing what exactly it is preparing its military for. While Beijing’s diplomats continue to speak of “peaceful reunification,” satellite imagery from Western intelligence services reveals a different reality: detailed full-scale replicas of Taipei’s government districts, U.S. aircraft carriers, and Japanese air bases have been constructed in China’s deserts. Missile impact marks on these targets indicate that the countdown has already begun.

According to experts at the Andromeda Information and Analytical Center, the PLA’s military machine has moved from theory to the final stage of practical preparations for aggression. Analysis of intelligence reports and satellite data makes it possible to identify three main directions in which Beijing plans to launch its initial strikes if a conflict begins in the Indo-Pacific region.

Taiwan: A Full-Scale Rehearsal of an Invasion and Elimination of the Leadership

For Taiwan, Beijing has prepared a scenario of “blitzkrieg” involving the simultaneous destruction of the political center of decision-making.

At the Zhurihe training ground in Inner Mongolia, the PLA’s largest training center, covering more than 1,000 square kilometers, a large-scale 3D replica of Taipei’s government district has been constructed.

The Chinese have meticulously reproduced Taiwan’s Presidential Office Building, the Legislative Yuan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of National Defense.

The most alarming indicator is the construction of a 280-meter underground tunnel beneath the replica government buildings. Elite Chinese special forces units use it to rehearse assaults on underground bunkers occupied by Taiwan’s leadership and combat operations through urban underground infrastructure.

A separate training area has been created for the air force. Farther west, at a training ground in the Alashan desert, a replica of Taipei’s central streets has been deployed. Here, PLA Air Force units practice precision airstrikes designed to isolate city districts before airborne brigades are deployed.

The United States: Hunting U.S. Aircraft Carriers in the Taklamakan Desert

Beijing understands that direct aggression against Taiwan would inevitably trigger a response from the U.S. Seventh Fleet.

To deter the United States, China is relying on the A2/AD concept (anti-access/area denial). The Taklamakan Desert has become the testing ground for rehearsing the destruction of U.S. naval forces.

Hypersonic ballistic missiles have precisely struck full-scale aircraft-carrier replicas, with the exercises being observed in real time by the United States through satellite imagery.

Japan: Striking the U.S. “Unsinkable Aircraft Carrier” on Okinawa

Japan would automatically become involved in a war because key Pentagon logistics and support bases are located on its territory.

The main problem for China is Kadena Air Base on Okinawa, which is often described as the “gateway to the Pacific.”

To address this threat, Chinese test ranges have been equipped with accurate replicas of Kadena’s runways, taxiways, and hardened aircraft shelters.

According to intelligence assessments, these replicas are being struck by short- and medium-range ballistic missiles from the DF-15 and DF-16 families.

Beijing is rehearsing a combined tactic: bunker-busting munitions designed to create deep craters in runways, completely preventing U.S. F-15EX and F-35A fighters from taking off, alongside cluster munitions intended to destroy fuel tankers, exposed aircraft, and personnel on parking aprons.

Beijing is no longer playing Sun Tzu’s “hide your intentions” strategy.

The construction of such large and expensive replicas, followed by their destruction with scarce missiles, is not simply a demonstration of strength. It is the final verification of combat algorithms.

China is preparing a preemptive, surprise strike of enormous power. The only question is whether Washington, Taipei, and Tokyo will have enough time to adapt their air-defense and missile-defense systems and disperse their forces before the replicas in the Taklamakan Desert are replaced by real burning ships and air bases.

The world has entered a period of the highest level of military turbulence.
