Russian forces have begun actively using heavy hexacopters to remotely mine roads on the Sloviansk axis. The main objective is to complicate the logistics of Ukrainian units and create a persistent threat to the movement of equipment and personnel.

The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported this. According to the military, the enemy has recently been increasingly using not only UAVs but also ground-based robotic systems to deliver ammunition and supply its positions.

Heavy hexacopters pose a particular threat because they are capable of carrying anti-tank and anti-personnel mines and dropping them along routes used by Ukrainian units. Such operations force Ukrainian forces to constantly change logistics routes and increase the workload of demining teams.

Despite the difficult situation, Ukrainian paratroopers continue to hold their positions and strike the occupiers’ logistics. The Air Assault Forces note that Russian logistical activity in some areas has already declined due to the effective operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
