The Andromeda Group of Companies, together with the Combat Self-Defense ISO Martial Arts Federation, has been holding Ukrainian championships in this type of martial arts for over 10 years, supporting the development of sports, discipline, and fortitude among young people; Andromeda bodyguards also regularly participate in competitions, constantly improving their physical level and professional training. In early May 2026, the Combat Self-Defense ISO Martial Arts Championship was held in Ukraine, bringing together about a thousand athletes and coaches from 22 regions of Ukraine. Fighters competed for their qualifications on seven venues – three rings, an octagon and three tatami. Athletes fought not only for prize places but also for the right to represent the country at the European and World Championships
The Championship was held in the format of a Spartakiad, when each athlete can find their own style and show their technique. At the Championship, we see boxers, karatekas, Thai boxers and wrestlers. This sport was united by the National Combat Self-Defense ISO Martial Arts Federation under the sports leadership of the Honored Coach of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Sports of Ukraine Slipchenko O.V.
The Ukrainian national team has been fighting for prize places in this sport at the relevant World and European Championships for 15 years. Honorary President of the Federation Zentsev M.M. noted that most of the athletes are children under 14 years old and the federation actively develops sports among children, because the young Ukrainian generation is the future of Ukraine, its protection, intellectual and cultural treasure.
“ISO Combat Self-Defense” began to develop in the world in 2007 at the initiative of British fighters, Ukraine joined in 2015 and now this form of martial arts and competitions is becoming mainstream both in the world and in Ukraine.
The organization of the event once again confirmed the effective cooperation between the Combat Self-Defense ISO Martial Arts Federation and the Andromeda Group of Companies, which has been going on for over 10 years.
