Ukrainian defense company UkrArmoTech has presented a new specialized vehicle designed for operational and pyrotechnic tasks — a dedicated version of the UAT-Tisa armored vehicle.
The new vehicle is intended for units involved in explosive ordnance disposal and other tasks requiring a high level of protection and mobility.
The UAT-Tisa platform was developed as a multifunctional armored vehicle capable of operating in difficult terrain and under combat conditions. Its new specialized configuration expands the vehicle’s potential applications beyond conventional military missions.
The operational pyrotechnic version is designed to provide personnel with a protected platform for transporting specialists, equipment, and necessary tools to areas contaminated with explosive remnants of war.
The vehicle combines enhanced ballistic protection with off-road mobility, allowing teams to operate in areas where conventional civilian vehicles cannot safely be used.
The development is particularly relevant for Ukraine, where large areas remain contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnance as a result of the full-scale russian invasion.
The growing scale of humanitarian demining operations requires not only specialized equipment for detecting and neutralizing explosive devices but also protected vehicles capable of delivering demining teams safely to contaminated areas.
The new UAT-Tisa configuration is therefore intended to become part of this broader ecosystem of mine-action capabilities.
UkrArmoTech continues to develop specialized vehicles adapted to the operational realities of the war in Ukraine, with an emphasis on combining protection, mobility, and the ability to perform specialized tasks in high-risk environments.
The introduction of a dedicated pyrotechnic version of the UAT-Tisa demonstrates the growing role of Ukrainian manufacturers in developing equipment not only for the battlefield but also for the long-term humanitarian consequences of the war.
